House No. 10 · Auctioneers & Valuers

Six sales a year. Everything inspected in person.

Assaf Auctions holds a deliberately short calendar of curated sales in motor cars, horology, jewels, wine and collections. Every lot is examined by our own specialists before it is catalogued — no consignment is accepted on photographs, and no estimate is published that we would not ourselves bid against.

Calendar

The 2026 sale calendar.

Six sales, each with a named specialist and a published viewing period of no fewer than three days. We would rather hold fewer sales with fuller catalogues than fill a calendar for its own sake.

Buying & selling

The terms, stated before you ask.

Premiums and commissions are published and identical for everyone. We do not negotiate a better rate for a larger consignor, because the consignor who cannot negotiate deserves the same terms as the one who can.

Buying

Register by the day before the sale, in person, by telephone or online. Condition reports are free, and our specialists will tell you what is wrong with a lot as readily as what is right — including when they think the estimate is optimistic.

  • Buyer's premium, to CHF 500,000 12.5%
  • Buyer's premium, above 9.0%
  • Online bidding surcharge None
  • Payment due 7 days
  • Storage, first 30 days Free

Selling

Valuations are free and given in writing, including where we advise against selling at auction. Reserves are agreed with you and never exceeded downwards; unsold lots are returned without charge.

  • Seller's commission 8.0%
  • Illustration & cataloguing Included
  • Insurance while in our care Included
  • Unsold lot charge None
  • Settlement after sale 21 days

Contact

A valuation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Write to the department directly, or to the saleroom if you are not sure where a piece belongs. For estates, collections and probate we will travel to the property, and we will say plainly if a lot is better sold privately than at auction.
